OMAFRA: 2022 corn rootworm trap network results are in

January 31, 2023  By Field Crop News

Tracey Baute, field crop entomologist with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), has posted results from from the 2022 Ontario trap sites participating in the Adult Corn Rootworm (CRW) Trap Monitoring Network. A detailed report, produced by Baute in collaboration with Ashley Dean and Erin Hodgson at Iowa State University, covers data from all trap sites across North America.

Trap supplies will be made available again for free for the 2023 season thanks to the Grain Farmers of Ontario (GFO) and the Agricultural Biotechnology Stewardship Technical Committee (ABSTC). Contact Baute at tracey.baute@ontario.ca if you are interested in participating. Growers and crop advisors are strongly encouraged to participate if they have fields with a history of repeated Bt-RW hybrid use and are within or adjacent to fields and counties of concern shown in the report below. |READ MORE
